The Croatian tenor Domagoj Dorotić started his music education as a trumpet player at the “Ferdo Livadić” Elementary Music School in Samobor, and graduated from the “Elly Bašić” Music High School in Zagreb in 1999. In 2004 he enrolled to the Academy of Music in Zagreb and continued his education to become a solo singer under Vlatka Oršanić. He earned his degree in 2008. In 2010 he joined the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb as an opera soloist. He was also performing at the Croatian National Theatre in Split, were he had played number of important opera roles. He also performs in concerts, collaborating with distinguished conductors from Croatia and abroad, as well as with the Symphony Orchestra and the Philharmonic Orchestra. He has won numerous awards and had the honor of singing the Croatian national anthem at the official celebration of Croatia’s joining the European Union in 2013.
