Female vocal group Bodulke

Vocal group Bodulke is a female vocal group from Hvar. It was established in 2004, resulting from gatherings of young girls who were brought up in the Christian spirit, and enjoyed worshipping God through songs.

They promote cultural values and work on expanding musical culture as well as making more cultural events available to visitors.

Besides performing at various cultural events in Hvar and making a debut performance at the Festival of Dalmatian klapa Omiš, the vocal group Bodulke also performs at various festival and parades.

Furthermore, they travel around Croatia and abroad. In 2014 they performed in Montenegro. They were invited by the Croatian Civic Society of Montenegro and had three concerts which received great media attention. Besides local bishops and the Croatian consul, some of the ministers of the Montenegrin government as well as the president of the Parliament of Montenegro were also in the audience. In 2015, the group also had an outstanding performance in Rome in the church of the Pontifical Croatian College of St. Jerome.

The group has also made a humble contribution to the future generations – in 2010 they released their first album Golubice bila.

The group has seven members, and all of them share a passion for Dalmatian songs. The group is led by prof. Tomi Domančić. They perform traditional Dalmatian songs as well as new compositions.
