Kalamos Quintet

Kalamos Quintet is the first, and the only reed quintet in the wider region. It was founded in Zagreb in 2013. The quintet debuted with performances at the Small Hall of Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall and in the Foyer of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, with a great response from the audience on both occasions. Following the debut, they performed at summer events and festivals in Omiš, Solin, and Rovinj, and gave a recital at the International Chamber Music Festival – MAGfestival in Split. Another very successful recital was the one at the 35th Evenings on Grič, an event organized by Zagreb Concert Management. Their performances received great response from both local and international audience, as well as great reviews from the critics.

It is an ensemble of wind instruments which use a reed to produce sound. These are: oboe, clarinet, saxophone, bass clarinet, and bassoon.
