Božo Vrećo

“The artist of angelic voice, who heals the soul and opens the heart” is the image of Božo Vrećo, as described by the famous New York Times.

This lyric tenor with an enormous vocal range, a rare castrato voice, and a very unique visual identity triggers eruptions of enthusiasm and inspires his audience. The best indicator of his popularity are sold-out shows in well-known concert halls, theatres and religious venues in Europe and around the world.

After earning a Master’s degree in Archaeology at the University of Belgrade, Božo Vrećo, who was born in Foča, decided to start over and dedicate his whole life to music. Music was his mission and his only goal so he moved to Sarajevo, the center of Sevdah music, where he managed to win the hearts of many people with his incredible voice.

He released two albums with Halka, his first band in Sarajevo: “Halka” and “O ljubavi”.

Soon after that he started his solo career and released his own album “Moj sevdah”. Apart from adapted versions of some well-known sevdah songs, the album also features his first original song “Lejlija”, dedicated to his beloved mother. His fourth and so far his biggest album “Pandora” was released in Bruxelles and features fresh and original love songs.

Božo’s a capella performance is an experience that leaves everyone breathless.
